Today we celebrated the baptism of Frances Rose McCalley, and it was indeed a celebration! It was so wonderful to have our family and friends with us for such a special day. Frances is a beautiful child of God and we are so thankful for her to have received the gift of Holy Baptism today.
The church service was awesome- Pastor Gates did a knockout sermon and Dwight picked the perfect song for Frances (it should be posted on the church website soon: www.christepiscopal.dioala.org). By the way, you should come visit us at 10:30am on Sundays at Christ Episcopal Church in Fairfield! Lots and lots of pictures.....and this was cut down from over 200.
Beautiful Baby Frances
We were pretty sure she wouldn't care for the water.....
....and we were right, but she recovered quickly!
Uncle Richard did a little improv piano playing.
Frances loves her cousins!
Pretty and so yummy cakes from Dreamcakes.
Had to take a little break from all the excitement
The Yayas and Yaya babies (we miss you, Ashley!)
Best friends forever- these girls love to hold hands!
Frances and one of her godmothers, Amy.
This girl was wiped out!
Of course we had to get in a little pool time also!
Frances now loves the pool- she stayed in for almost 2 hours!
Yahoo, Aunt Sage is here!
And in other news......
That's right, Sage and Jack have triplets on the way! They will be here sometime in late fall. We are so excited we can't stand it!!!!! Please keep Sage, Jack, and these sweet babies in your prayers. Everything is going great so far. We can't wait to find out if they are boys or girls (I'm banking on 3 girls)!
Can you believe there are 3 babies in that belly?
How cute is she????
Thank you so much to everyone who celebrated with us on this special day! A BIG thank you to Meme and Grump for hosting the great lunch.
With this HOT weather, we have been spending a lot of time at the pool. We finally found a float that works for Frances and she seems to love hanging out in it!
Still got plenty of growing room in my swim suit!
Just relaxing!
Meme was having a fit when we took this picture....I promise Will really is close to her!
We have been doing a lot of swinging in the evening too!
On another note, we finally have a tentative schedule for Frances' heart surgery. She had her monthly check-ups yesterday with the cardiologist and pediatrician. Frances is up to 9 lbs 5 oz! The doctors are very pleased with how well she is doing, and say her weight gain is not too bad. They are scheduling her surgery for the first week of August (we will know the exact date closer to time). It's scary to think about and its only 2 short months away, but we will be SO happy to have this part behind us. So between now and surgery, we just pack her full of calories and get her as fat as we can!
What an exciting day it has been for our family. Today we received our "Final Decree of Adoption," which is the very last step in our adoption process. We are officially done....no more lawyers, social workers, or court dates!!!
Judge Friday and Frances
WooHoo!
Frances put on quite a show with Judge Friday - who, by the way is so wonderful!
Today we took down the pink bow from the mailbox (I'm sure our neighbors have been wondering why it is still up). A while back when I couldn't decide when to take it down, we decided today would be a great milestone.
This is one happy family!
We continue to thank God each day, that he handpicked Will and I to be Frances' parents. What an incredible blessing she has been in such a very short time, and the joy in our hearts grows every single moment. Thank you all for sharing in this journey with us!
Bella was so excited too!
"For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen." Romans 11:36
Our good friend Ryan celebrated his birthday over the weekend with an awesome craw fish boil. The mudbugs were creeping and crawling in the cooler when we arrived, and Ryan cooked them up with some corn, potatoes, and sausage, and it was soooooo good!

Don't get between me and the craw fish!
The birthday boy!
His wife and my best friend, Leslie, is an incredibly talented bass player, so she and her brother and dad provided some great music for the party.

First try in the pool= major fail (it was kind of cold!)
Frances tried out the baby pool for the first time and was not quite a fan. We tried the pool again the next day and it wasn't so bad.
Next try in the pool at Meme and Grump's = not so bad!
Oh, and Will built Frances a swing frame over the weekend and she has been loving swinging outside! Way to go Daddy!
We celebrated Lyndy's 11th birthday over the weekend. She had a fancy Tea Party(complete with Milo's tea) with a few of her friends on Saturday....Will was not invited, but Meme, Frances, and I got to go as long as Frances wore a pink dress (we settled with a pink bubble).
On Sunday night we had our usual family dinner at Mom and Dad's house to finish celebrating the birthday. Yes, that is a Magic Bullet that Lyndy got as a gift. I introduced her to "iced coffee drinks" last summer and it has been quite the obsession ever since, so Lyndy requested the blender so she can make her own now. We gave her some boxes of decaf instant coffee and some chocolate syrup to go along with it...I'm sure my sister loves this gift!
So excited about the Magic Bullet!
Lyndy's sweet friend Maria gave her this pink chair, and Lyndy toted it over for Sunday night dinner for Frances to sit in during supper.
And what birthday weekend could be complete without a little family karaoke to Taylor Swift????
Happy Birthday, Lyndy! Life sure would be boring without you- We love you!
Frances turned 3 months old yesterday, and it was the best Mother's Day present ever!...I couldn't post this picture yesterday and steal Will's thunder with his video:)
